Hitachi Elevator and Yuexiu Commercial jointly hosted the Landmark?Cloud-Based Intelligent Transport campaign event at Yuexiu Fortune Center in Wuhan, China on July 25. During the event, engineers from Hitachi Elevator explained to attendees how elevators work in an elevator knowledge and Q&A interactive area set up in the office building.
The Landmark?Cloud-Based Intelligent Transport campaign is a series of public service activities launched by Hitachi Elevator in June 2022, aiming to work with partners to provide an understanding of traffic and elevator safety in super high-rise buildings and enhance public awareness of elevators and intelligent building transport.
A landmark in Wuhan Binjiang Business District, the 330-meter Yuexiu Fortune Center is home of hundreds of regional headquarters of the worlds top 500 companies and other key organizations. Hitachi Elevator has provided all of the building’s 76 elevators and escalators, as part of an overall intelligent transportation solution, including Hitachi 8m/s ultra-high speed elevators, an intelligent group control system and EnePlus energy feedback technology, assuring the building’s tens of thousands of workers and visitors an efficient and comfortable vertical transportation experience within the context of an optimal building management model.
Hitachi Elevator and Yuexiu Real Estate started their first collaboration in 2005 and signed a new strategic partnership agreement in 2022. Combining their respective capabilities and best practices, the two sides have further strengthened their relationship through joint efforts in property development and construction, maintenance and operations, and contributions to the local community, creating a range of landmark projects including Guangzhou International Commercial Center, Guangzhou Nansha Yuexiu International Financial Center, and Wuhan Yuexiu International Financial City.

In the first half of 2022, Hubei provinces GDP grew by 4.5% over the same period of the previous year, 2.0 percentage points higher than that of the whole country. The troika of investment, consumption and exports proved to be a consistent winning combination, with strong investment growth in the infrastructure and manufacturing sectors, which injected new vitality into the development of the local elevator market.
Liu Liguo, general manager of Hitachi Elevator (Hubei), said that with 24 years of proven experience in the market, the regional branch has been deeply involved in the urban development of the province, including participating in the infrastructure projects such as Wuhan Metro Line 7, Line 8 and Line 16, as well as landmark projects in various cities. The elevator provider will continue to expand its presence in the province in collaboration with partners through the delivery of efficient and safe transportation solutions for cities and buildings.
