Hitachi Elevator (China) Co., Ltd. (Hitachi Elevator) earned a Three-Star Supplier rating in Vvupup’s 2022 Supplier Composite Index (SCI) assessment according to the results of the assessment released at the 8th Shenzhen Global Shenzhen Entrepreneurs Convention and Vvupup Joint Conference. Attended by hundreds of buyers, suppliers, industry associations and specialists who verified the assessment results, the event came to a successful conclusion on July 5, 2022. Hitachi Elevator was awarded the rating along with another 98 companies and stood out from over 1,200 suppliers that participated in the assessment.
Vanke Vvupup, China’s leading third-party B2B trading platform for building materials, has been committed to contributing to the country’s supply-side structural reform by improving transparency in industry procurement, promoting green transformation in the building materials sector and enhancing services across the real estate supply chain. To date, the platform, with more than 320,000 SKUs, has registered over 2,300 buyers and 6,800 suppliers, and recorded 890 billion visits by individuals and companies involved in the building materials sector.
SCI (Supplier Composite Index), a comprehensive index evaluation system for suppliers launched by Vvupup at the conference, recognizes manufacturers’ contributions to and their role in the building materials sector and, by extension, the greater society in general, based on a thorough evaluation of suppliers’ factories, products, brands, finances, service capabilities and social responsibilities as well as an analysis of their business performance and comprehensive capabilities.
As of the end of 2021, Hitachi Elevator had supplied over 60,000 elevators and escalators to Vvupup and Vanke. The elevator manufacturer has been providing both partners with comprehensive building and transportation solutions as part of their long-term strategic partnerships. Furthermore, the firm and the two partners, by combining their respective expertise and resources, have conducted extensive collaborations in the realms of technological innovation, environmentally-friendly products, community services and public service initiatives.
In the future, Hitachi Elevator plans to continue collaborating with Vvupup and Vanke while leveraging the firm’s advantages in operational and information technologies in a move to facilitate the intelligent transformation of buildings through digital solutions, with the aim of creating a better future for buildings, cities and the mobility sector.
