We are never afraid of the pandemic.
At around 4 pm on January 6, Zhengzhou High-tech District was locked down due to the pandemic in Champs Garden. Many people didnt know that, together with many residents, four maintenance colleagues of Hitachi Elevator Henan Branch were also controlled. At that time, they were busy overhauling the elevator and were unaware of the lock down.
According to Wang Fengs recollection, "Around 5:30 pm, we finished our work and were ready to go back, only to find that the district was locked down. I was afraid at that time". There was a confirmed case in one of the residential buildings in the district, so some of the residents were quarantined, and they also needed to be quarantined in the district.
"Temporarily living in the property office, we signed up as volunteers at first time when we heard from the property supervisor that there was a shortage of staff". They did not live there, but they chose to stand up to go through the difficulty with everyone.
The four-member team set off at around 7 am to help owners transport supplies, post quarantine strips door-to-door, organize nucleic acid tests for residents, and use their elevator maintenance expertise to deploy elevators during the pandemic.
Cots were provided in the community property room to solve the problem of accommodation. Hitachi Elevator Henan Branch contacted them every day about the food they needed. The station manager in charge of the area unified to buy and send vegetables to the prescribed point to provide food for them. In the face of the various inconveniences brought by the pandemic, people did not complain. Instead, they chose to pass on their warmth to more people.
Up to now, five positive cases have been reported in the community. Wang Feng also expressed his expectations: "Its almost New Years Eve, so I hope to overcome the pandemic and resume normal life as soon as possible. May everyone have a good New Year with their families!"
"Fight" at the frontline with the pandemic
In addition to Zhengzhou, Henan Province, facing the attack of Omicron, people in Hitachi Elevator all over the country always stick to their posts and do their best to ensure smooth vertical traffic in public places.
Whether in residential areas, hospital buildings, or rail hubs, we can see their brave deeds, giving people a full sense of security.
During the pandemic, many people like them are working silently on the front line, all working in unison towards a common goal.
The footsteps of these brave workers give us warmth and strength in the cold winter, guarding our safety and peace of mind.
